Welcome to The Image Album
The idea for the TheImageAlbum was originally conceived
for relatives and friends, also people we met on our travels,
so they could share our holiday experiences. As more travel has taken place and with feedback from people and members of travel organisations such as Tripadvisor and Geograph, the 'old' ImageAlbum site is undergoing a transformation.
We are presently updating pages with more pro-active Flash Slideshow presentations to improve appearance and speed of operation. These changes will appear gradually over a period of time. To date, we have commenced with Foreign Destinations and will work through the albums alphabetically then go on to British and then General. We hope that the changes reflect an improvement as it has been a learning curve for the webmaster!
We would like to say thank you to Ivertech for their QuickResizer software and to Jim Willsher for his Bulk Rename utility and FlashSlideShow Pro.
You may find that some locations that were available on the 'old' site are probably missing or have undergone some changes with regard to content.
Images are gradually being rendered in a 'Flash' slide show presentation and where there are more than one album, these are listed in the Gallery and is accessed by clicking on the icon to the bottom left of the Flash slideshow window.
Audio is also available to enhance the Flash slide show presentations, this is 'OFF' by default and can be activated by holding the cursor over the Flash window and the audio ON/OFF button will appear.
In addition, we are now adding some old images taken before the advent of the digital camera, Scicily and Spain being a case in point. As we come across other old images we will scan and add to the web site.
We hope you enjoy the content as much as we have
taking the images and creating the site.

We hope that that this site and the internet as a whole with all the good it has to to offer is not spoilt by the mindless few who have nothing better to do than clutter it with SPAM!
